When I say "disturbing" I don't mean "how could you say such a thing" I mean "I hear this, it makes sense, and that makes me uncomfortable."
The argument is "We need inner cities to be awful. Otherwise poor people wouldn't be able to afford them. Better to live in a lousy neighborhood than to have a great neighborhood you can't live in."
Thoughts?

It would make more sense to make society more equalised, and for life in general to be more affordable for the general population, than to have inner cities and neighbourhoods be awful places to live simply so that people can afford to live there.
